Job Overview:

The Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for all aspects of audit engagement level planning and execution. This “hands-on” position performs assigned audit tasks and directs the work of other staff conducting independent audits of internal controls, financial records and operations; for compliance with Dealertrack policies, Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP and SEC accounting requirements. The Manager will assist in the development of annual audit plans and various reports for Sr. Management and the Audit Committee. This position reports to the Senior Director, Internal Audit.

Responsibilities:

·  Plan, conduct, review, and monitor performance of risk based audits, special projects and investigations

·  Design and implement audit procedures, which appropriately address company risks and compliance related exposures, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

·  Evaluate control deficiencies, quantitatively and qualitatively, individually and in the aggregate to assess existence of significant deficiencies or material weaknesses; monitor remediation efforts for ineffective controls and appropriately escalate items that require additional focus

·  Effectively communicate results of activities in an accurate and concise manner verbally and in writing

·  Assist in the coordination of audit activities with external auditors and other control groups to ensure proper coverage and minimal duplication of effort

·  Identify ways to improve operational efficiency, share best practices across the organization and/or enhance control

·  Keep abreast of changes in auditing and accounting professional standards and recommend modifications to the audit strategy and annual plan as necessary

·  Assist the Senior Director of Internal Audit with annual planning and other activities as needed

·  Train new team members in standard procedures

Skills and Experience:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

·  6-8 years Accounting/Audit experience

·  Prior audit experience some big 4 or national firm experience required.

·  CPA required; CIA or CISA preferred.

·  Prior supervisory or in-charge experience leading small teams and also demonstrated ability to be a sole contributor

·  Understands key elements of business processes and information technology and their effect on financial statements

·  Candidate must have good relationship skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (including the ability to make presentations to a variety of levels including senior management)

·  Ability to analyze complex information and prepare audit reports

·  Critical decision making is required for audit focus, approach, recommendations and communications

·  Good project management skills are required to complete multiple audits/projects and accomplish annual plan

·  Proven track record of successfully collaborating with management on financial and operational issues to influence improvements to control environment and/or increase efficiency

·  Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)

·  Experience with AutoAudit and Visio preferred

·  Experience with SAP preferred
