The North Brunswick Basketball Association is proud to announce the dates for our Annual March Madness Tournament.
March 12, 2011 through March 20, 2011. Championships will be played on Sunday, March 20th. All games will be played at Linwood Middle School, Livingston Park School and North Brunswick High School. Three Game Guarantee, Individual Pool Play for both Boys and Girls. There will be a championship game in each bracket. This year registration is limited to eight (8) Teams Per Division (2 pools of 4). Please Register Early!
THE ENTRANCE FEE IS $300.00 per Team

Ø ALL NEW JERSEY HIGH SCHOOL RULES APPLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING:
Ø THREE GAME GUARANTEED (POOL PLAY)
Ø ALL PLAYERS MUST BE BORN AFTER AUGUST 1, 2010 (PER DIVISION)
Ø Coaches MUST have team roster (With birth certificates) at all games.
Ø Players MUST live in your Township; any exceptions MUST be approved by the Division Coordinator and President of the League.
Ø All games will be played in North Brunswick at either North Brunswick Township High School, Linwood Middle School or Livingston Park School.
Ø All games will be 15 minute halves with clock stopping on all whistles
Running Clock if winning team is up by more than 20 points
Ø Full court press is allowed the entire game with the exception of a team that is winning by more than 20 points. (In the U-10 Division Full Court Press is allowed in the last two minutes of each half)
Ø Two Full Timeouts and Two 30 Second Timeouts will be awarded to each Team
Ø Overtime sessions will be 3-minutes and each team will receive one additional full timeout. Regulation timeouts carry over into overtime
Ø Ball Size- 28.5 Ball will be used for the Boys (10 & U), (11 & U) (12 & U Boys), & (12 & U Girls) and (14 & U Girls) Divisions. All other divisions will use a High School Regulation Size Ball
Ø A coach or player that receives two technical fouls will be ejected from the game and must leave the gym. That coach or player will be suspended for the next game and subject to disciplinary action
Ø Five personal fouls will result in removal from the game
Ø A team that does not arrive by the scheduled start time will forfeit the game. All teams need a minimum of five players to start the game
Ø A team will begin shooting one and one foul shots on the seventh foul, two shots will be awarded on the tenth team foul (In the U-10 Division the foul shooter may cross the line after releasing the ball)
Ø Three coaches maximum will accompany the team on bench during the game
Ø Head Coach must report to scorers table at the conclusion of the game to sign “Score Verification Form” before leaving the court
Ø Minimum 8 players on the Rosters, Maximum 15 players
Ø A player can only play on one rosters team, per division
Ø No Jewelry or earrings can be worn during warm-ups or games, Uniforms must be worn properly
Ø If game opponents have similar color uniforms, which will promote confusion with the referees or players, one team can wear pinnies.
Ø THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULES ONCE THE SCHEDULE HAS BEEN SENT OUT
Ø Inclement Weather- In the event of inclement weather please check the leagues website for notification at www.NBBasketball.org.
Ø All teams will maintain insurance and liability to cover its teams obligations hereunder and upon request will provide the North Brunswick Basketball Association and the North Brunswick Board of Education a certificate of insurance showing that such insurance is in place
Ø All teams represents and warrants that all of its coaches shall be qualified and properly trained and shall perform the services of coaching in a competent, professional manner.
Ø All teams herby agree to indemnify, defend and hold the North Brunswick Basketball Association, and the North Brunswick Board of Education harmless from and against any and all loss, claims, actions, liability and/or suits suffered or incurred by the North Brunswick Basketball Association, and the North Brunswick Board of Education arising directly or indirectly as a result of the March Madness Tournament.
Ø Officials Decisions are Final- NO PROTESTS!!

Ø Refreshments will be served at all Schools!

Bear right out of toll booth onto Route 18 north/west.
Immediately get into left lanes; follow the signs and exit onto Route 1 South to Trenton.
Take Route 1 approximately 2-3 miles, passing Cook College on your right. After passing Cook College & Bristol Myers Squibb, get into right lane and take exit for Milltown Road to North Brunswick.
Merge into left lane (strip mall on left: AP, LA Fitness, Bagel Shop, MacDonald’s)
At light turn left onto Georges Road and immediately get into right lane
Turn right at next light onto Hermann Road
At first traffic light, turn right onto Linwood Place……….school is on right
From Turnpike South
NJ Turnpike Exit 8A - Follow signs for Route 130 North
LINWOOD DIRECTIONS CONTINUTED
Stay on Route 130 for approximately 8-10 miles
After passing light at Raider Road, get into right lanes as Route 130 will fork ahead – (right fork keeps you local, left fork puts you on Route 1 North)
Go over Route 1 and immediately get into left lane
Turn left at first light onto Cranbury Crossroad
At stop sign, turn right onto Linwood Place -- School will be two blocks down on right
From Route 1 South
Take Route 1 North and exit at Georges Road/Route 130.
Get into left lane and turn left at light (takes you back over Route 1), stay in left lane
Turn left at first light onto Cranbury Crossroad
At stop sign, turn right onto Linwood Place -- School will be two blocks down on right
From Route 1 North
Take Route 1 South past Woodbridge and Menlo Park Malls
You will pass Loew’s Theaters on right, Sears, On the Border and Houlihan’s – on right

Watch for jughandle sign to NBTHS on right
Take jughandle for Raider Road/NBTHS
Cross over 130 and proceed straight ahead to high school
Route 1 Southbound
Take Route 1 North.
Turn right at light for Adams Station (Malouf on left and far right corners)
Go to next light and turn left onto Route 130
Take the jughandle for Raider Road/NBTHS. Cross over Route 130 and proceed straight ahead to the high school.
From Route 1 Northbound
Take Route 1 South and exit at Route 130 South.
Turn right at 2nd light on to Raider Road and proceed straight ahead to the high school.
Entrance to gyms are located directly behind the trailer across from parking lot.

At first traffic light, turn left onto Linwood Place. Linwood Place will curve to the right; after passing First Aid Squad on the left, turn left into the back of the school – if you pass the playground, you missed the turn.

From Turnpike South
Follow directions to Linwood School.
At stop sign, turn left onto Linwood Place. Linwood Place will curve to the right; after passing First Aid Squad on the left, turn left into the back of the school – if you pass the playground, you missed the turn.
From Route 1 South
Take Route 1 North and exit at Livingston Avenue.
Bear right onto Livingston Ave and at 2nd light turn left onto Ridgewood.
