operating as NRC Research Press

(herein referred to as “NRC Research Press”)

AND:

1. This Agreement refers to the photograph or artwork entitled and (or) described as follows:

(hereinafter the “Photograph or artwork”)

2. I declare that I am:

the sole owner of the copyright in the Photograph or artwork, / and® / I hereby grant to NRC Research Press a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to my interest in the copyright for the following purposes (see below):
a part owner of the copyright in the Photograph or artwork, in conjunction with interests held by following additional co-owner(s):
, / and® / I hereby grant to NRC Research Press a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to my interest in the copyright for the following purposes (see below):
a duly authorized signing officer of the institution, government or corporation that owns the copyright in the Photograph or artwork, who is:
, / and® / I hereby grant to NRC Research Press, on behalf of my employer, a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to my employer’s interest in the copyright for the following purposes (see below):
a public servant in Canada (federal, provincial or territorial) or the United Kingdom or other Commonwealth country, and I confirm that the copyright in the Photograph or artwork is owned by Her Majesty, / and® / I have obtained the approval of my employer, according to the terms of my employment, to grant NRC Research Press a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right and license to Her Majesty’s interest in the copyright for the following purposes (see below):

(a) for incorporation into a journal (including on the cover) entitled [Insert title of Journal], including the creation of materials for the promotion, publicity, advertising and merchandising of the journal, to be distributed, published, and republished in all media and all formats now known or hereafter devised (including but not limited to paper copy, CD-ROM, e-book, website publication, and compilations of the same) on a world-wide basis;

(b) to sub-license such rights to aggregators and other electronic distributors; and

3. I also declare that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the Photograph or artwork does not infringe on the copyright or other proprietary rights of any third party.

4. I understand that my submission of this Photograph or artwork does not guarantee publication. If the Photograph or artwork is withdrawn, rejected, or not published within 2 years after acceptance, the license is revoked.
