Session description: Please provide a description of your presentation, up to 500 words long, highlighting what your audience will experience and learn during your allotted hour. Questions to guide your proposal development, in addressing this year’s theme of “Organizing for Sustainable Change,” include:

  • What is the injustice in education that you are not willing to accommodate and which you are working with others to change?
  • Who are the partners you’ve found to stand with you?
  • How did you organize your group and attract others to your cause?
  • What actions did you take?
  • What outcomes are you working toward and/or have accomplished so far?
  • Did your efforts to create a common agenda with multiple stakeholders to facilitate collaborative impact? How? Why?

Relevance: Please provide a 75-100 word description of how your presentation specifically addresses issues of social justice in public education, and how it addresses the conference theme of Organizing for Sustainable Change.
