Luggage: Airline allows one checked bag (50 lbs max). You can have two carry on pieces, one small backpack and one roller type bag. The backpack will be very useful during the trip for packing your needs for the day.

Packing tip … Consider packing one change of clothes in your carry-on (just in case) as well as valuables (prescription medicine).

Clothes: Clothing tips – Quick dry material is a great option. When packing keep in mind that you will have access to laundry in Nebaj.

·  Pants – two pair of cargo or capri pants, one pair of jeans + one pair of shorts.

·  Undergarments/ socks

·  Shirts – Team shirt, four additional short sleeve shirts. Two long sleeve layering shirts

·  Sweat shirt or sweater

·  Light weight coat – Rain coat will come in handy

·  Foot Wear – Comfortable closed toe walking shoes or utility shoes. Sandals for travel/evening

·  Travel Home Clothes – I pack a set of clothes, which remain in a zip lock bag, to travel home in

·  Hat

·  Work Gloves

·  Dress Clothing is not necessary.

·  Itinerary

·  Money (cash)/ ATM/Credit Card – notify your cards that you will be traveling to Guatemala

·  Money Belt

·  Snacks (a few favorite snacks is nice – but we will have access to small stores in every town)

·  Bible/devotion book

·  Journal and Pens

·  Hand sanitizer

·  Camera (and charging cords).

·  Photos of Family

·  Flash light - Headlamp

·  Sunglasses

·  Extra glasses or contacts

·  Electronics: Ipod/computer/phone/Ipad etc. We will have spotty internet coverage at every location. Remember cords. Some have found it a gift to not have a bunch of electronic stuff to keep track of.

·  Personal Medications – notify team medical expert.

·  First Aid – we will have a team first aid kit.

·  Cipro – anti diarrhea medicine

·  Imodium and Pepto

·  Toiletries & Personal Hygiene – remember liquids should be checked

o  Handy wipes, Sun Screen, insect repellent, shampoo, soap, Toilet Paper, Cosmetics, etc.
