Dear Fifth Grade Students and Parents,
Our “super” field trip to Rawhide Ranch is quickly approaching! Here are details, which will help you finalize preparations for our exciting adventure.
We will be departing from school at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28. Lunch will be eaten with chaperones upon arrival to Rawhide. Please send a sack lunch to school with your child. We will be returning to school after lunch on Friday, September 30. We will be back at Linfield by 2:30 p.m.
Parents may drive their own vehicles or carpool with another parent chaperone to camp. Parents are required to be in attendance the entire session of camp. ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED TO RIDE THE BUS TO THE CAMP. Students wishing to ride home from camp with a parent chaperone will need to have a written request to the teacher. All others will return to Linfield on the bus.
The following list is a guideline for items needed by adults and children. Please have items marked with your child’s name.
Underwear Jeans (long pants)
Shirts Pajamas
Socks Tennis shoes
Hat Cowboy boots (optional)
Toothpaste, toothbrush Bath towel
Wash cloth Comb
Soap, shampoo Sunscreen
Jacket or sweatshirt Water bottle
Sleeping bag / pillow Flashlight
Camera & film (optional)
Spending money (small bills, please) – there is a General Store & Sweet Shoppe available to purchase snacks and souvenirs.
DO NOT BRING:
Knives Video games
Radios Game Boys
Walkman cassettes / CD players IPods
or/ any Electronic Equipment
If your child needs to leave the camp for an activity or appointment during their stay, all arrangements need to be made through the teacher prior to the trip.
Any medication that may need to be administered to your child during the camp must be brought to the office by a parent prior to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27. A medicine contract will need to be signed by a parent and physician.
