Proposed Course(s) (if known): ______

According to the Joint Advisory Review Board (JARB) agreement between IU, MCCSC and MCEA; certificated employees may earn points for the tuition bank through the early experience participation process. These points accumulate on the basis of two dollars and seventy-five cents ($2.75) per point and are divided by the cost per credit hour to determine the award from IU to the tuition bank. No points are earned for any other program or if reports are not filed with the University. The tuition credits are then distributed twice each year by the MCCSC-MCEA Tuition Committee using the following criteria and priorities:

Criteria Timely application (October 15 and April 15)

Priority 1 Applicant has earned participation points for the bank, but has not previously been awarded IU tuition credits. Ranking within this priority is equal to the number of points earned for the bank.

Priority 2 Applicant has not been awarded IU credit and has not earned participation points for the bank. Ranking within this priority is zero (0) for all applicants except stated in the tie break information below.

Priority 3 Applicant has earned participation points and has been awarded IU Credits. Ranking within this priority is equal to the points earned divided by tuition awarded.

Priority 4 Applicant has been awarded IU credit, but has earned no participation points for the bank. Ranking within this priority is equal to any tuition previously awarded, multiplied by a negative one (-1).

Criteria Ties will be broken by the ranking stated above within each priority. Further, ties will go to the applicant with the greater MCCSC experience. Finally, ties may be broken according to the value to the MCCSC of the proposed course work as determined by the MCCSC-MCEA Tuition Committee
