INTERNATIONAL MEN GOALBALL TOURNAMENT
FOR “ŠALTINIS GAMES”

INVITATION
Dear Friends,
The Sports club of the Blind and Visually Handicapped “ŠALTINIS” is pleased to invite a goalball team of your country to participate in the International Men Goalball Tournament for “Šaltinis Games”, which will be held in the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius.
Sports club “Šaltinis” is the winner of Lithuanian goalball championship and all the players of this club are members of Lithuanian national team.
Arrival: Thursday, June 27, 2013 (after lunch).
Competition: Friday and Saturday, June 28 - 29, 2013.
Competition: Sunday, June 30, 2013 (before lunch).
Departure: Sunday, June 30, 2013 (after 16 ).
Tournament format. The games will be played under the existing IBSA goalball rules. The tournament is limited to participation of 10 teams (including two teams of sports club “ŠALTINIS”). Teams will be divided into two equal pools according to the latest rankings established by IBSA.
Awards. The awards ceremony will take place right after the competition in the sports hall on Sunday, June 30, 2012.
Winners of the first three places will be awarded with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree Cups of the International Goalball Tournament for “Šaltinis” - accordingly to the ranking; three best teams and their coaches (7 persons per team) will be awarded medals of a certain degree. Special prizes will be given to the best defender as well as to the best thrower of the tournament (in accordance with the overall games’ statistics).
Invited countries. All IBSA countries are invited. We will accept 6 teams from abroad which are the first to confirm their participation by sending us the First entry.
Referees. We would welcome all IBSA II or III level referees from abroad (along with their national teams or individually) to whistle some games during the tournament. We commit to cover their accommodation and meals during the invitational period.
Competition venue: Sports complex of the sports club “Šaltinis”. Address: Skroblu str. 3, LT-03138 Vilnius, Lithuania. The sports hall flooring is Taraflex as in the Parolimpics. Changing rooms, showers and warming-up court will be available for teams during the days of the tournament. On Friday and on Saturday after the tournament it would be possible to use sauna and 25 m swimming pool.
Accommodation and meals. Teams will be accommodated in the double and triple bedrooms in the 3 Stars Hotel in Vilnius. Meals will be served either in the cafeteria near the sports complex or at the Hotel Café.
Participation fee: 200 Euros per person per invitational period. It includes the accommodation and meals from Thursday (June 27) dinner till Sunday (June 30) lunch.
Transportation. On request, teams arriving to the Vilnius airport (or train-station) will be provided with the ground transportation to the hotel and back to the airport (or train station) after the competition for the price of 50 Euros per team.
Additional stay. If you would like to come earlier or depart later than indicated in the invitational period, you will have to pay additionally: Extra bed breakfast per person - 45 Euro, extra lunch – 15 Euro and extra dinner – 10 Euro.
Training before the tournament. Teams arriving prior to the tournament will have the free-paying possibility of training at the sports hall of the sports club “Šaltinis”. Address: Skroblu str. 3, LT-03138, Vilnius. Teams wishing to use this possibility should inform the organizers beforehand and will have to pay only for the transportation from the hotel to the sport hall and back.
Deadline. Please, confirm your participation in our tournament by sending the completed First entry form to the Sports club of the Blind and Visually Handicapped “ŠALTINIS” () as soon as possible but no later than March 1st, 2013. Second entry form together with the additional information will be sent to the participating countries after March 1, 2013.
