Product Level Icons
Within Birch Street, we have the ability to use icons at the product level to denote certain values (i.e. Best Value). The following instructions will walk you through how to complete the template to indicate which items, from your suppliers, should be assigned an icon for ‘Best Value’.
Step 1: Login to Birch Street using the SUPPLIER01 login (password: hilton1).
Step 2: Select your supplier from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Once the screen changes, click on the Export button from the Catalogs tab.
Step 4: In the Open Existing Filter Selection dropdown menu, select *Preferred and Contracted Item template and click Go.
Step 5: Once the template loads, you’ll want to focus on column G, which is called “Preferred Brands”. The name of this column is something that Birch Street defined; however, we are going to call this “Best Value”. To denote an item as being a “Best Value” item, you will need to do the follow:
a) Identify which brands you want this icon exposed to. Please select from this list below.

b) On the template in column G, copy the name of the first brand that you want exposed to the icon. Be sure to copy the brand name exactly as it is listed above in Step 5a.
c) If there is more than one brand that you would like the product exposed to, then enter a comma after the first brand, then paste in the name of the second brand. Do not include any spaces.
Step 6: Once you have filled in column G, save the file as a .csv format, and send the completed template to either Jim O’Quinn or Audrey Cu to import into Birch Street. Once the file is imported, it will take an overnight process before the icons are displayed. Once the icons are displayed, it will look like this:
