Awards Over $200,000in Scholarships
Brooklyn, NY. May 19, 2014. The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association (FNSNA) has awarded 91scholarshipsfor the 2014-2015academic year. Scholarship recipients and sponsors were recognized during the National Student Nurses’ Association62ndAnnual Convention, April 9-13, 2014, Nashville, TN. The Scholarship Selection committeemade up of faculty and students met at FNSNA headquarters in February 2014to review scholarship applications submitted by hundreds of applicants. Applications for the 2015-2016academic year will soon be availableon the NSNA website at

The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, in Memory of Frances Tompkins, NSNA’s first executive director (1952-1970), was established in 1974 as a 501(C) (3) charitable foundation. Through its annual scholarship award program, FNSNA has provided over two million dollars in scholarships to undergraduate nursing students.
