2. Seeding:
Refer to the decision of AVC B/A Meeting, seeding for Asian Sr. Men’s Championship will be considered from the addition of Ranking of Previous Asian Sr. Men’s Championship and FIVB World Ranking divided by 2. The team with the lowest points will be seeded No.1 and in case of the same points among the 2 or more teams, the World Ranking will be considered for their seeding. Refer to the mentioned principle, the order of seeding will be as follows:

Because of 20 participating teams, the teams will be distributed into 4 pools, 5 teams in each pool. The Organizers and 7 best ranking teams will be seeded in serpentine system.

3 Drawing of Lots
The rest 12 teams shall be drawn to the 4 pools. Geographical consideration will be applied in order to avoid the teams from the same zone in the same pools as many as possible.

3.1 The 6 teams of Central Zone KAZ, IND, SRI, MDV, PAK, AFG shall be drawn to Pool A, B, C and D on line 3 and Pool A and B on line 4.
The tags of 6 teams will be put in the Cup of Teams. The 2 tags of A, B and 1 tag of C and D will be put in the Cup of Pools. The 2 Drawers will draw 1 tag of Team and 1 tag of Pool at the same time together until the last tag of Team.
3.2 The 3 teams of South Eastern Zone, VIE, INA and MYA, the 2 teams of Western Zone QAT and LEB and 1 team from Eastern Zone HKG shall be drawn to Pools C and D on line 3 and Pool A, B, C and D on line 5.
The tags of 6 teams will be put in the Cup of Teams. 1 tag of A and B and 2 tags of C and D will be put in the Cup of Pools. The 2 Drawers will draw 1 tag of Team and 1 tag of Pool at the same time together until the last tag of Team.
