Academie Lafayette: Serves grades K-8. The student population is 45% ethnic minorities. As a total immersion foreign language school, the academy creates an environment that allows students to achieve fluency in both French and English by the end of the eighth grade.

Alta Vista Charter High School: Serves grades 9-12. The student population is more than 96% ethnic minorities. The mission of the school is to provide an environment that focuses on dropout recovery and prevention for high-risk Hispanic and other inner-city youth.

Della Lamb Elementary School: Serves grades K-6. The student population is 95% ethnic minorities. The school seeks to provide a student-centered program for high-risk students based on a sound educational program, community involvement, and comprehensive social services.

Don Bosco Education Center: Serves grades 9-12. This alternative high school has a student population of 95% ethnic minorities. The mission of the school is to provide a caring, guiding, and safe environment that promotes learning and personal growth.

Gordon Parks Elementary School: Serves grades K-5. The student population is 92% ethnic minorities. This is a small family-like school for urban core children.
