In compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act of New Jersey, adequate notice of this meeting was provided on January 8, 2008 and August 5, 2008 by sending written notices to the Echoes Sentinel and Courier News, posting on the Bulletin Board in the Municipal Building and filing with the Township Clerk.

This meeting is to be taped for broadcast on the Access Channel and everyone is required to comply with the policies and procedures governing access programming for the Access Channel. No mention of political affiliation or political advertising shall take place at this meeting or it will be deleted from any rebroadcast of the meeting.

ORDINANCE NO. 08-17 (by title for introduction)

An Ordinance to Amend the Personnel Policies and Procedures of the Township of Warren, Renaming Section 7 Entitled “Health Benefits” as “Health Benefits, Retirement Plans & Life Insurance”, and Amending Section 7 to Include Additional Provisions, including Mandatory Language Regarding the Defined Contribution Retirement Program

Explanation: The New Jersey State Legislature recently adopted Chapter 92 of the Laws of 2007 (N.J.S.A. 43:15C-1 et seq.) which created the Defined Contribution Retirement Program. This ordinance will amend the Township’s Personnel Policies and Procedures, to address the issues of the State Pension Plan and the employees who may be required to participate in DCRP rather than PERS

ORDINANCE NO. 08-18 (by title for introduction)

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WARREN, TO CREATE NEW SECTION 3-25 ENTITLED “YARD WASTE.”

Explanation: This Ordinance creates new Section 3-25 entitled “Yard Waste” pursuant to the requirements of the NJDEP’s approval of the Township’s Tier A Municipal Stormwater General Permit.
