Educational Assistance Program

At HireVue, we have an educational assistance program in the belief that education enhances your personal and career development, and thus aids HireVue in building a great company and team. The program provides financial assistance to enable you to perform your current job or pursue a career in one of our other areas of business.

Eligibility
Full-time team members are eligible immediately upon hire, provided that approved educational classes have not yet begun.

  • Full-time team members may be reimbursed for up to six credits per semester (or quarter equivalent) and a maximum of 18 credits a year.
  • Satisfactory performance is required. Your manager has the discretion to determine if your work performance is satisfactory or adequate enough to be eligible for reimbursement.
  • The maximum reimbursement for education expenses, including job-related training courses, each calendar year is $3,000.

Eligible Expenses
Eligible education expenses include the following:

  • Tuition, course registration and other required fees, and textbooks.
  • The course(s) must be work-related.

Examples of non-eligible expenses includemeals, lodging, transportation, or other items such as tools and supplies (other than textbooks) that you can keep after completing the course.

Participant's Responsibilities
You should discuss your development plans with your manager. It is a requirement of the program that you are committed to HireVue. Should you voluntarily leave within 6 months of completing the course, you will be required to pay back the full 100% of the reimbursement.

Educational Assistance as Taxable Income
Under current tax law, reimbursements received above $5,250 a year (subject to change) are considered taxable. Tax rules on educational assistance are defined in the Internal Revenue Code.

Reimbursement Process

To obtain reimbursement for eligible expenses, team members must do the following:

  • Obtain manager’s approval prior to each semester, quarter, or training course.
  • Complete and return to HR a "Request for Education Expense Reimbursement" form (the form can be obtained from HR). HR will then submit the form for approval and signature via DocuSign.
  • After completion of the course, submit proof of payment (e.g., receipt or a copy of a canceled check (front and back)) and proof of completion (i.e., document evidencing at least “B” grade or certificate of completion, as applicable) to HR and Finance.

You will be reimbursed within 2 weeks or as soon as administratively feasible.
