Smoking is not allowed inside the Gites

Each time you leave the premises, Le Pont du Laurent, you lock all entry doors to the gîte

The reservation is not guaranteed until confirmed by us in writing

The Giteis to be left in the same condition when you leave it as you find it when you arrive.

Upon arrival we ask you to let us have a “holding deposit” called a “caution” of 150€ by cheque (or cash) which is refunded to you within 2 weeks of your departure providing the Gite is left as found, that is clean, tidy and no breakages or damage.

We charge a fee of 75€ for the gîte Le Cantal, 100€ Le Lot and 125€ L’Auvergne, for cleaning if the property is left unclean or you elect for the cleaning to be done by me at the end of your stay.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

1.The property known as The Gîte, Le Pont du Laurent, (“the property”) is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Helen Dockett (“the owner”) to the renter (“the Client”).

2.To reserve the Property, the Client should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with payment of the initial non-refundable deposit (25% of the total rent due). Following receipt of the booking form and deposit, the Owners will send a confirmation of payment. This is the formal acceptance of the booking.

3.The balance of the rent, the taxe de séjour, caution cheque and hire costs of bedding and towels are payable 4 weeks before the date of arrival.

4.At the same time the balance is paid a security deposit of 150.00€ to be paid by a separate cheque. Cheques dated for the commencement of the rental period are acceptable and will not be cashed by the owner. When the owner has thoroughly checked the property and is satisfied that there is no damage to the Property or its contents and that no additional cleaning is required the cheque will be returned to the client and no later than 2 weeks after departure by the client. However, the sum reserved by this clause will not limit the Client’s liability to the Owner. The deposit will be returnable, subject to the conditions herein. If there is damage, loss or cleaning required the full cost of this will be deducted from the deposit.

5.Subject to clauses 2 above, in the event of a cancellation, refunds of amounts paid will be made if the Owner is able to re-let the Property, and any expenses or losses incurred in so doing will be deducted from the refundable amount. The Client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the party’s personal belongings, public liability etc. since these are not covered by the Owner’s insurance.

6.The rental period shall commence at 16:00 on the first day and finish at 11:00 on the last day. The Ownershall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Clients shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated.

7.The maximum number to reside in the Property Le Cantal must not exceed five, the Property Le Lot nineand the Property Auvergne ten, unless the Owners give written permission in advance.

8.The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant and to take good care of the Property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The Owner reserves the right the make retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning costs if the Client leaves the Property in an unacceptable condition. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to other guests staying at Le Pont du Laurent and residents living in neighbouring properties.

9.The Client shall report to the Owner without delay any defects or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, or in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property, and arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as soon as possible.

10.The Owner shall not be liable to the Clients:

a) For any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the Property, or in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the Property;

b) For any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the Owner;

c) For any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the Property should be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the Owner shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period.

11.Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the rental period.
