Leadership and line management of a team of staff, to include developing people professionally and personally, and conducting annual appraisals

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

A highly developed understanding of the current issues affecting registered nurses and nursing students, to include the requirements associated with revalidation and continuing professional development
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to include high-level presentational skills
Experience of chairing meetings of clinical experts, such as an editorial advisory board or similar
Desirable
Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry guidelines relating to display advertising, sponsorship and publishing ethics
An understanding of key performance indicators and similar metrics, and how such information can influence decision making in an organisation such as RCNi
Ability to interpret spreadsheets showing budgets, forecasts and spending
Understands the methodology around impact factors and their significance in professional publishing
