Job Title: IT Support Technician
Accountable To:Directorof IT
Salaried or Hourly: Salaried dependent on experience and formal education as they relate to job

Hours: Forty hours/week schedule during office hours Monday-Friday. Sunday rotation depending on needs of the department. Special events as required.

Job Titles Supervised: None
Purpose:To serve the focus and mission of New Life Church ministries through workstation, phone and network support, maintenance and development.

Network Environment: Windows 2008-2012 domainwith 200 MacOS and Windows clients and 200 users across 3 buildings and multiple congregations; wireless,and multiple networking access systems.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain MacOS and IOS devices as well as Windows workstations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and analysis of support issues.
  • Assist with help desk and support tasks and escalate support calls as needed.
  • Handle level-twoinquiries service requests, according to IT policy, including but not limited to work station troubleshooting and copier/desktop printer setups, and manage desk phones moves, add, and changes.
  • Assist clients with Office 365, OneDrive and network access on laptop and handheld devices limited to New Life policies.
  • Maintain up to date support documents both for users and the IT staff in a logical manner.
  • Able to work alone when necessary and be self-motivatedin finding solutions and contacting vendors as required.
  • Provide evening and weekend on-call support as requested on a rotational basis as needed.
  • Ability to deal with vendors and third-party providers both on the phone and in person in a courteous and professional manner while determining the best outcome for the church.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of New Life Church.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and security including cabling, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and router/switch management a plus.
  • Be familiar with CitrixXenServer a plus.
  • Research and implement solutions related to forward-looking trends.
  • Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministries of New Life Church.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings when requested.
  • Cooperate with the IT Director & church by performing any other duties as necessity requires.

Hiring PLUS:

  • Comptia, Apple, Citrix and Microsoft Technical Certifications
  • Formal technical education
  • Help Desk experience
  • Windows & Macintosh Server experience.
  • Mobile device management
  • Experience with various cloud-based infrastructures
Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma. Some college or tech school.

Experience:Demonstrated skill and experience supporting, administering, and troubleshooting Windows and Appleworkstations.

  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to complete assignments with little guidance.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully on all levels.
