How to join as a Fundraiser:
- Visit Schwans-Cares.com
- If necessary, enter our Campaign ID: 29577 into the search box located in the upper right hand corner then click to open campaign.
- Select the "Team Members" tab towards the top of the page and then click "Become a Team Member".
- Click "Join Fundraising Team". If you already have an account, log in. Otherwise, create an account by entering your information (Choose team if applicable).
- Complete your account by selecting "Sign Up" and then click "Continue" on the next page to finish. Login and visit your "Manage" Tab on your SCHWAN'S CARES™ campaign page to invite your friends and family to support.
Teacher Appreciation Dessert Bar– We are havinga Holiday Dessert Bar for the faculty onFriday,Dec. 09th.We are asking parents to help us show our appreciation for the staff by donating desserts for the faculty to enjoy.Please do not donate anything that needs to be refrigerated. Desserts can be dropped off at the PTSO meeting onThursday,Dec. 08thbetween7:00-8:00 p.m.Please place desserts in a disposable container. If you are able to donate a dessert, please email Gina Pronesti, Teacher Appreciation Chair o let her know what you will be donating. Any and all donations are appreciated.
Student Encouragement Lollipop Grams -Encourage and show the students of Swatara just how much they are appreciated on Student Appreciation Day by purchasing a Lollipop Gram.Parent’s/Guardian’s show your student how much you support their goals and dreams by sending them an encouraging note attached to a flavorful lollipop.Each Lollipop Gramcosts $.25and contains three lines for you to use to let your student know just how important they are to you and the Swatara family. Forms will be coming home the week of November 28, 2016. Complete the bottom of the form and return it in the attached envelope along with $.25 to the PTSO Mailbox betweenMonday, December 5, 2016 and Friday, December 9, 2016. Parent’s/Visitor’s Day –The Swatara PTSO and Swatara faculty would like to thank all of the parents/guardians that visited the school on Parent/Visitor Day during National Education Week. The students and staff really enjoyed having us visit their classes to get a glimpse of a typical school day and see what the students are learning.
The students of Swatara also signed the pledge to be “Drug Free” on this day and participated in a chance to win an Infinito’s $10 gift card. Gift cards were awarded to students during the three lunch periods. Thank you toLynn Dundore, Patrea WomackandLinda Goodmanfor volunteering to help with the drawing and greet parents on Parent Day.
Junior Achievement YES! –The JA YES! Program was a real success. Students thoroughly enjoyed each of the workshops and the assembly at the end. Thank you to Mrs. Fowlkes for allowing JA to be a part of Swatara and to Mr. Carpenter, Mrs. Bright and Mrs. Hile for their hard work and diligence in organizing the day. Special thanks to parent volunteersMarissa Waddell, Chantel Redensky,andPatrea Womackfor volunteering as workshop leaders.
