Welcome to Gorzycki!
I am very excited about this school year and getting to know you. I know we are going to have an awesome year together! My goal is to build a love of math with each of you.
Supplies
Math spiral - purchased from me for $5.00 (cash or check, which may not include any other fees)
Math Textbook – Kept in the classroom
Protractor – small clear plastic (keep at home until needed)
Pencils – lots because math should never be done in pen!
Red pen - for checking homework and class assignments
Student Support
Student support is Wednesday 3:30- 4:00. This is for students who were absent and need clarification on a lesson or students who have questions about a concept being covered during class that week. This is not a one-on-one tutoring session or remediation on lower grade concepts. Students must have a specific concept to discuss during Student Support.
Teacher Website
You can visit my website on the Gorzycki Middle School website. You can find my name under Staff. On the right side of my homepage click on “subscribe”! This will automatically email out every post I make to the website. I will post a copy of the class homework each afternoon so students can print it if their copy is lost, left at school, or if they were absent and would like to attempt the assignment. I will also post dates for upcoming quizzes or tests.
Remind101
I will be using Remind101 to send out a quick message. These can be in text or email form - your choice. The message could be test/quiz reminders, typos on the homework or changes in that night’s homework assignment. I will send home a separate sheet that explains how to sign up and the access code.
If you need to contact me, the best way would be email. I will check it before school and in the afternoon. I will get back with you as soon as possible.
