KINDNESS

Did you know another one of Allahs names is Ar Rahman(الرحمان). This means Most Kind.

·  Most means the greatest amount.

·  Kind means to do good.

So then Most Kind means Allah has the greatest amount of good to give. No one else is as kind as Allah.

Prophet Muhammad(S) said,

“Allah’s kindness towards his creation is more than a mother’s toward her child.”

“People are Allah’s family. The dearest one to Allah is the person who is kind to his family.”

And

“Allah has no mercy on him who is not kind to people.”

Remember prophet Muhammad(S) was the best example to all of Allah’s creation. He showed love and kindness to everyone, even his enemies.

The prophet Muhammad(S) used to say;

“When you visit the sick, an Angel from heaven says, “May you be happy, may your walking be pleasant and may you be given a house in paradise.”

Our beloved prophet also said that a person did not believe in Allah if his neighbor is not at peace because of him.

Abdullah’s Neighbor

Abdullah is seven years old. He has two brothers and one sister. They live next door to sister Alimah. She is very sick. Sometimes she needs help but Abdullah never offers. If she asks him or his family they are always too busy. Do you think that Abdullah and his family are following our prophet’s (s) example? Why?

Help Abdullah and his family learn to be kind. Color only the kind things.

Draw a line to

the kind words.

Allah shows us love and kindness by giving us everything we need and taking care of us. Can you think of some ways Allah shows you love and kindness?

ü  Food

ü  Parents

ü  Friends

ü  Rain

ü  Trees

These are just some of the things. The list can go on and on. Just try to remember to thank Allah every chance you get for all the Blessings that he gives.

Also remember to be kind to others. On the day when we have to face Allah everything will testify against us. Including animals and trees, even your body parts. There is no hiding from Allah so always remember him and you can never go wrong.

Sharing

All Muslims are brothers and sisters to each other. We share the same belief. That there is only one god (ALLAH) and Muhammad is his messenger. Allah tells us in the Quran:

49:10 All Muslims are brothers. So, [when they have a disagreement] make peace between your two brothers, and remain aware of Allah so that you might be favored with His mercy.

The prophet Muhammad (S) said, No man is a true believer unless he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.

If your brother or sister was hungry would you feed them?

If your brother or sister had no clothes would you clothe them?

If your brother or sister had no money would you give it to them?

Of course you would. Why? Because you love them so much, they are your family and you wouldn’t want to see them suffer. Well this is how all Muslims should be with each other.

If Allah has blessed a person with a lot of wealth, then they should be willing to share what they don’t need with those who do need it.

"And whatsoever you spend of anything (for Allah’s pleasure), He will replace it.'' (34:39)

"Do not keep your wealth from others; otherwise, Allah will withhold his blessings from you.''

When a person gives to someone who needs then this is called charity. This is the best form of sharing.

Show these greedy men what to share by coloring the items and drawing a line to them.

There are many ways that you can share and give. The prophet Muhammad said simple things are charity. Here is a list of just some of the things he said were charity.

v Making peace between two people.

v Helping a man on his animal.

v Lifting someone’s luggage.

v Comforting words.

v Answering a questioner kindly.

v Removing harmful things from the road such as glass, stones, or thorns.

v Smiling at your fellow Muslim.

v Stopping bad things.

Those who share are close to Allah, Paradise, and people, but distant from the Fire. The stingy are distant from Allah, Paradise, people, but close to the Fire. (prophet Muhammad).

What do you think this means, draw a picture showing what you think it means?

All Muslims

Insha Allah I hope this unit will benefit someone. Please feel free to change it to your needs. If anything is wrong it is from me and if anything is correct it is from Allah ta’ala.

One day I saw a poor [Muslim boy.

He had no food to eat, no money with which to pay.

He had no clothes to wear, and no house in which to stay.

It made me cry

It made me sigh.

Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah,

I have lots of food to eat, and lots of money with which to pay.

Subhanallah, Subhanallah,

I have lots of clothes to wear, and a big, big house in which to stay.

Allah wants us to care.

Allah wants us to share.

I am a Muslim child,

I must care.

I am a Muslim child,

I must share.

Some food I gave to the boy.

"Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah," he said with tears of joy.

Some clothes I gave to the boy.

"Subhanallah, Subhanallah," he said with tears of joy.

Some money I gave to the boy.

"Masha Allah, Masha Allah," he said with tears of joy.

He shared it all with another poor boy.

Allah Ta'ala wants us to care.

Allah Ta'ala wants us to share.

I am a Muslim child,

I must care.

I am a Muslim child,

I must share.
