Application Form for Corda Award for Poetry Translation

Instructions

1.  Review the eligibility requirements to ensure that the translation qualifies for the award.

2.  Download and complete the application form. Entries must be double-spaced typed and may be in English or Spanish. Save a copy.

3.  Include the contact information of the principal translator and, if applicable, the names and email addresses of any collaborating translators.

4.  Enter the titles (or the first line of untitled poems) of each of the poems translated, including the title of the book in which the poem was originally published.

5.  For published translations, cite the book, magazine, journal or other media where the translation was, or will be, published and the date of publication.

6.  Translators may include a brief commentary (Word or PDF file) on the translated poetry of no more than three pages.

7.  Attach an electronic file (WORD or PDF) of the translations and the original poems. Each poem and its translation should be presented on separate pages. If any of the poetry has been published include a copy of the translated poem(s) as published.

8.  Completed applications and attachments should be addressed to the Corda Foundation at . A confirmation letter will be sent to the applicant upon receipt.
