Salford City Council - Record of Decision

I Councillor Peter Connor, Lead Member for Housing, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Paragraphs F 6, (a) (i) and J (a) (i), of the Scheme of Delegation of the Council do hereby approve that

P.Casey (Land Reclamation) Ltd, as one of the city council's partner contractors for landscape works, be appointedto undertake the Lower Kersal Estate Environmental Improvements Phase 2, at 124 to 134 South Radford Street, 1 to 31 Monsal Avenue, 2 to 8 Monsal Avenue, 26 to 32 Monsal Avenue, 1 to 23 Shirley Avenue, 2 to 26 Shirley Avenue and 42, 44, 46 Shirley Avenue.

The Reasons are that the works will allow for the construction of in-curtilage parking where necessary, new fencing where appropriate, and vehicular gates will be provided. Dropped kerbs will be constructed for existing, and proposed parking places. Parking lay-bys will also be provided on South Radford St, as part of a traffic calming exercise as a separate scheme, achieved by the same contractors, however whilst this is a separate piece of work, it will complement the overall aims of the Lower Kersal Estate Environmental Improvements Phase 2.

Assessment of Risk: Low

The source of funding is: Charlestown & Lower Kersal New Deal for Communities Physical Environment Programme.

Legal Advice : Trevor James (Urban Vision)

Financial Advice Nigel Dickens (Housing & Planning)
