Dr Masterton and Partners - PPG Meeting Minutes –Wednesday 15 March 2017 – 7pm

1.  Welcome to our new member/s / ·  The new member sent her apologies.
2.  Minutes of the last meeting / ·  Minutes of last meeting approved.
3.  NHS Discount Card meeting / ·  David said the meeting went well and about 12 people attended.
·  David and Jenni showed them all around Baldry Gardens and told them that they are in negotiations with the Lambeth CCG to obtain a lease to run monthly events in the room on the ground floor. David said that PPGs outside of Streatham would be invited to events.
·  The meeting was also a chance for PPG members to have a general discussion on ideas for better working arrangements between Lambeth PPGs.
4.  Incentive Scheme / ·  The issue of DNAs is being tackled (see below).
·  The PPG is still looking at ways of getting patients from the Polish community to join up. / PPG
5.  YouTube Channel Responsibility / ·  David said that there are still some issues that need to be resolved with regards to Mathew taking responsibility for uploading health videos from YouTube onto the TV. Although previous minutes did record that Mathew agreed to take on this role, he has since said that he does not have the time to do so. / David/Maria/Gloria
6.  DNAs / ·  David confirm that a poster had been put up in the surgery with information on those who ‘Do Not Attend’ appointments. It was acknowledged that a DNA poster may not be enough and other options to reduce DNAs need to be considered. / PPG
7.  Baldry Gardens update / ·  David and Jenni are still waiting for a decision from Una Dalton (Lambeth CCG) on obtaining a lease to run PPG events at Baldry Gardens.
8.  Any other business / ·  David said that the PA system has now been purchased and is working well.
·  David told the group that the Lambeth CCG has given the Streatham PPG Network Group 72 “I love my PPG” mugs to be used at events.
·  David said that he has been teaching older people to use their smart phones and that Una Dalton is on board with the idea.
