Reports to: Program Clinical Supervisor or Lead Therapist

Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday; must show flexibility in scheduling to satisfy the needs of the clients. Some evening hours are required. Territory includes southwestern parts of Allegheny County (such as Carrick, Mt. Oliver, Dormont, Castle Shannon, McKees Rocks, Crafton, Carnegie, Bridgeville)

General Statement of Duties: Provide outpatient counseling services to clients with substance use or co-occurring disorders and their families in their home and school settings.

Essential Functions:

1.  Promote the philosophy and mission of HFI in the provision of services.

2.  Carry a caseload of outpatient clients seen for sessions in home, school and residential placement facilities.

3.  Provide individual and family counseling sessions.

4.  Conduct biopsychosocial assessments as needed.

5.  Develop and implement treatment plans with clients using a Motivational Interviewing approach.

6.  Provide a minimum of 22 billable hours weekly (55%) of direct service to clients on assigned caseload.

7.  Document all activities provided to client/family in the electronic health record (Evolv system).

8.  Provide D&A and other mental health information to clients, families and staff of agencies/schools as needed.

9.  Assure the completion of treatment discharge process.

10.  Participate in on-going program development and quality assurance.

11.  Develop and increase personal skills in providing counseling services to clients and families.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in an approved Human Services area required with a knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and a minimum of 1 year experience in counseling (master’s level clinical internship is acceptable). Must be willing to work towards PCB Certification (CAADC). Must have a valid PA driver’s license and have or obtain Act 33/34 and FBI clearances. Additionally, must have use of a reliable vehicle during work hours and be physically capable of visiting families in their homes. EOE
