2017 Art on Main Artist Application
Saturday, October 14, 2017; 10 a.m – 5 p.m.; Downtown Jenks
You are invited to apply to be one of the great Oklahoma artists at Art on Main, Jenks' premier and award-winning fine art show, hosted by the Jenks Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) OK Corporation. Art on Main is a one-day outdoor celebration of the visual and performing arts. The primary focus of the event is the exhibition of quality fine art, giving audiences the opportunity to meet, interact with and purchase art from the individuals who have created it. Art on Main will feature live entertainment, food and Oklahoma wineries.
The mission of Art on Main is to create access to a broad array of arts experiences, nurture the development and understanding of diverse art forms and cultures and encourage the expanding depth and breadth of cultural life in Oklahoma.
The Artist Application includes essential details on artist participation and should be carefully read prior to submission.
Application and Notification Deadlines
Art on Main is a juried festival. All submissions will be reviewed prior to acceptance. Do not mail a check with your initial application. Payment instructions will be given upon acceptance.

September 29Deadline for accepted artists to commit to exhibit and return a signed
exhibitor contract and nonrefundable payment. ($50 extra fee if electricity is needed)
2. Selection Procedure
You must be a resident of the state of Oklahoma in order to be accepted. All artists submitting applications for Art on Main are required to submit three digital images of artwork and booth setup (if available). Images will not be returned to artists and will be considered property of Art on Main.
Images are reviewed by a jury. Artistic excellence is the main criteria for selection of exhibitors, ensuring a mix of mediums on display will also be considered. Decisions of the committee are final.
NOTE: Participation in past Art on Main shows does not guarantee acceptance.
3. Acceptance to Exhibit
Oklahoma Artists selected to participate will be emailed the Artist Agreement which will contain more specific information about the show, setup, etc. Artist Agreements and payment must be returned by September 29to secure booth space. Artists must submit separate applications. The applicant is responsible to keep Art on Main advised of an effective mailing address, phone numbers and email address. We do all notifications via email. If you do not have an email address, you will be required to stay in touch by phone in order to receive information you may need.
4. Booth Space
There is a non-refundable $40 fee for booth space before July 31, or $50 after. If electricity is desired, there is an additional $50 fee. Artist Agreements will be date stamped upon receipt and assigned location on a first-come, first-serve basis. Artists will be provided a space on asphalt measuring 10’ deep by 10’ wide. Artists are to provide their own racks tables, chairs, canopies/tents and electrical extension cords in order to display their work in an outdoor environment. A 10 x 10 tent/canopy is required. Artists or representative must be present with their work for the entire day of Art on Main. Due to the amount of planning this event entails, we will be charging a fee of $100.00 to anyone who does not show up and does not call in 48 hours in advance. (Medical and related exceptions permitted.)
5. Sales
Artists retain all revenue from their sales with no commission due to Art on Main.
