ABOUT THE COURSE

This course offers a VCE or VCAL Year 11 & 12 program and a professional qualification for young people wishing to pursue a career in the sport and recreation industry. Opportunities for graduates will be in the areas of sports management, sports administration, event management, facility management, coaching and many other areas of the sport and recreation industry.

VCE or VCAL Certificate II, III, IV & Diploma in Sport & Recreation

  • Level 1 Coaching Accreditation
  • Students have the opportunity to work closely with the high performance coaches at Cricket Victoria and will have access to the elite level training facilities at both the MCG and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatics Centre (MSAC)

All participants will be provided with a Cricket Victoria Sports Development Program Uniform.

Completion of the program will provide students with the opportunity to develop an excellent future pathway.

  • Work in the Sports & Recreation Industry
  • Possible employment within Cricket Victoria or other industry bodies
  • Articulate into a degree in Human Movement, Sports Coaching, Sports Administration, Business and Marketing.
LOCATIONS

Programs will be based in sporting venues in all 8 Cricket Victoria metropolitan regions.

ELIGIBILITY

The Cricket Victoria Sports Development Program is specifically targeted towards young people who would like to pursue a career in the sport and recreation industry.

Selection is not dependent on cricket skill. The program is open to both males and females aged 16 - 19. Successful applicants will be notified and appointments for interviews will be organised prior to final selection.
