Southampton Samurai Judo Club is inviting your club to a Primary & Low Junior Kyu Grade Championship.

(Under 3rd Kyu Green Belt)

BJC and BJA competitors must be under the age of 16 years on the day of the Competition.

It will be held on Saturday 28thApril 2012 at Samurai Judo Club, Woodlands Community College, Minstead Ave, Harefield SO18 5FW.

The Closing date for entries is Wednesday 25th April 2012.

Weigh in times Primary’s 9.30am Junior’s 10.30am

Entry fee for all Primary’s & Junior’s £10.00

Spectators over the age of 5 years £1.00

All late entries an Extra £1.00

The Championship will be run under BJC Contest Rules.

License must be shown at weigh in for proof of age.

Prohibited Techniques for All Primaries’ and Junior’s.

i.  Armlocks. ii. Strangles. iii Sacrifice Throws. iv Leg or Ankle grabs.

v.  Kubi Nage. (A throwing attempt where the neck is encircled using one or both arms).

vi.  Makikomi. (Where the attacker falls with and lands on the thrown opponent).

vii.  Drop Knee Seoi – Nage.

viii.  Kata Gurama.

1.  No Coaching at the side of the mat.

2.  Zoris must be worn to and from the mat area.

3.  No drinks at the side of the mat area.

4.  Only club Coaches will be permitted at the mat area.

5.  Contestants can wear a brace or gum shield on their teeth when fighting.

6.  The Mat Marshals Decision will be Final in all cases.

Southampton Samurai Judo Club or Woodlands Community College and their staff will not accept any responsibility for any LOSS, DAMAGE or INJURIES while attending this Championship.

The Team Managers will be responsible for all the children that they have entered and brought with them to this Championship.
