BEGINNING DRAMA MONOLOGUE PERFORMANCE FINAL

  1. Students will select a monologue from a published play from the files.
  2. Monologues must be between 1 ½ to 2 min. long
  3. Students will memorize, rehearse, and perform for the class a preview of the monologue..
  4. Students and teacher will make suggested changes and amendments to the chosen monologue and the student will use those suggestions to perform again for a final grade.
  5. Costumes and props may not be used, if desired, a single chair will be available.
  6. Monologues must begin with a brief introduction. Introductions include student’s name, name of student’s school, student’s course level, name of character, title of play, and name or playwright.

Students may also include one sentence of vital background information on the introduction.
