ARRL Microwave Update 2016, Questionnaire Responses

How long will the event last? The banquet will start at 7 PM and with luck will be over by 10 PM.

Will the requested astronomy talk be the only activity at this event, or are there other activities and organizations participating? The banquet will be the culmination of a two day conference were there will be many talks concerning Amateur radio microwave frequencies.

How many children and adults are expected? No children and hope for 125 adults.

What are their age ranges?Mid to late.

Responsible adult supervision of any children present is required. Will there be adequate adult supervision of all children present?

Is this an event that will have a fee charged to attendees? There is a conference fee to cover their expenses.

Is there adequate and accessible parking available for our volunteer(s)? It's a Holiday Inn.

Is there a charge to park, controlled access, gates, parking meters, permit-parking-only, limited parking spaces, or any other situation that would prevent our volunteer(s) from parking easily? If so, please explain.

Will our volunteer(s) be provided with any snacks or refreshments? For your speaker and his or her companion, I can offer a Banquet meal for each.

Are there restrooms available for our volunteer(s)? It's a Holiday Inn.

For non-profit entities, donations are welcome, but not required. Non-profit donations have ranged from $25 to $750, but this is just an example. The average is $100. If your organization is for-profit, our board of directors will determine an appropriate stipend amount, and will contact you. Donations received are used to further our mission: To share the wonders of science and astronomy with the public. Your donations are tax-deductible.

Does your organization plan on making a donation to the St. Louis Astronomical Society for providing this service? (Yes / Not at this Time) We just hope to break even here. We are as non profit as you can get.

What audio-video capabilities can be used for the talk / presentation? We will have the modern equipment available at the Holiday Inn as we are renting it for the conference.

Will the astronomy talk be indoors or outdoors?In a nice banquet room.

The science of astronomy is quite extensive. What is the requested subject of the talk? Be as specific as you can, so we can select a volunteer with knowledge on the specific subject matter. We would like a talk with some nice pictures slides or such that offer OOUUSS and AAHHHAAS.A short presentation of approximately 45 minutes.
