Please find attached the slightly revised draft agenda and current list of posters for GAW 2009.
Some useful information below:
Abstract
We kindly ask you to prepare an abstract from your presentation. The abstract should be max one page long. The abstracts will be formatted by us as per WMO guidelines.
If possible, please send it to us by the end of the meeting or at the latestby 22 May. The abstracts will be included in the meeting report.
Poster instructions
The dimensions of posters boards are L120 X H150 cm. You do not need to use all of this space. We recommended for you to concentrate on the most important information, so that the poster is easily readable.
There will be 35 min to present all the posters. Each poster will be introducing with just a few of sentences. No PowerPoint presentation.
Please bring the posters with you to the reception when you register.
Registration
The registration will be open on Monday 4 May from 2pm until 5pm and on Tuesday 5 May from 8:30am at the lobby of the WMO Secretariat:

Internet/Adapter
There is wireless at WMO. The password will be provided during the meeting. If you need an internet cable for your computer please bring it with you.
Please note that Swiss electrical plugs differ from European ones. If you have an adaptor, please bring it with you.
Getting to WMO from the airport
Taxi: From the taxi rank outside the Arrivals Hall (Ground floor)
Cost: approximately CHF 30–35
Bus: Bus 28, direction Jardin Botanique, can be taken from outside the TerminalBuilding (First floor, that is Departure level). The stop is situated to the left as you come out of the terminal. Get off at the last stop, WMO building is a ship shaped green/blue glass building just before the stop, on the other side of Jardin Botanique.
Get bus ticket for free inside the terminal: In the area where you pick up your luggage, just before exiting through customs, you find a ticket machine on your left from which you can get a bus ticket for free. Otherwise the ticket cost 3CHF.
Getting to city centerfrom the airport
Taxi: From the taxi rank outside the Arrivals Hall (Ground floor)
Cost: approximately CHF 30–35
Bus: Bus 10 direction Onex-Cité, for Center, get off at 22 Cartons, or bus 5 direction Hopital, for Centre get off at Gare Cornavin.
Getting to WMO from the center of Geneva
From Cornavin (central railway station) Bus 1 direction Jardin Botanique. The bus stop is on the tram line. Get off at end stop. WMO is up the street. You can also take tram 13 or 15 from the same stop (Cornavin) to the Place des Nations (end stop). WMO is then within walking distance (down avenue de la Paix, towards the lake – 10 minutes).
