Research and Development

About:

A position in Eberly Technology as a research and development technician is offered to all majors, but is focused more for M.I.S. and Computer Science majors. The job will officially begin at the start of the fall 2013 semester. Training will be conducted during the remainder of the current semester. In this job, you are required to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships with all faculty and staff within the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. During employment, the main focus is to efficiently repair any technical issues. Knowledge in hardware and software troubleshooting is a must. This is a position that will apply real world problems to things learned in class.

Duties:

* Experience with email, remote access, trouble shooting, and basic installations
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
* Ability to support industry-specific software applications
* Provide desktop support
* Work closely with faculty and staff to provide quality support

* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Maintain strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
* Customer service and professionalism is a must

* Installing workstations and software
