Re: U.S. East Region 2007 Winter J1/J2 Student Spiritual Convocation
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Hallelujah! Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Please be informed that East Region 2007 Winter J1/J2 Student Spiritual Convocation (SSC) will be held at Hillsborough Church as follows:
Theme: Life of Prayer
Location: Hillsborough Church
Dates: Monday – Thursday, Dec. 24-27, 2007
Sunday, Dec. 23 Sign-in begins at 6:00 pm
Opening Ceremony and Orientation begin at 7:00pm
During the convocation, the attendees will lodge on church premises and will be expected to maintain a high level of discipline. The schedule and curriculum will be finalized in early December, and be made available to you.
Enclosed is a “General Information Sheet” that attendees must read prior to the convocation. We request that R.E. Coordinators (or Religious Affairs) of each local church make announcements in church, pass the information on to the students.
All attendees should complete the attached SSC registration form/file and return it by email to the SSC logistical coordinator as stated below. Further, please note that minors must return paper copies of the parental consent and emergency contact information form (complete with guardian signature). The R.E. Coordinator of the local church should be responsible for collecting all such forms from the students and returning them to the Hillsborough church before the deadline. Please note that online registration will not be used this year.
All students must attend full time (except in special circumstances approved by the SSC coordinator). In addition, any truth seekers wishing to attend the SSC should first be approved by the local church council and then receive final approval from the SSC coordinator before he/she is officially registered. (One of the approval criteria is that the truth seeker has been attending Sabbath RE classes).
The deadline for SSC registration is November 30, 2007. Please honor the deadline, as sufficient time is needed to finalize planning of the convocation.
