DISTANCE PROGRAM

·  Medals will be awarded for each double age group from 11/u to 18/over.

Events will be swum on a time trial basis, seeded according to entry time.

·  Males will swim prior to females and the 200 metre Freestyle will follow the

400 metre Freestyle

·  Age as at day of Meet for each event.

·  Entries must be on the SV entry card/sheet. Entries for each meet must be on a separate summary card/sheet. All details must be completed, and remember to include an entry time, even if your coach assists with a 'club time trial' time. This will assist with the smooth running of the meet, and avoid unnecessary delays with inappropriate seeding of heats, due to 'no times'. No event number is necessary, just the distance.

Entries must be lodged with: Chris Reese

District Championship Officer

MDASA Inc. – PO BOX 1153

Ballarat Mail Centre Vic 3354

No late entries will be accepted.

Entry fee: Individual $5.00 per event.

NOTE: Swimmers not to use the toddlers pool or the 25m pool and must abide by all pool conditions of use on entry during the meet.

ENTRY PROCEDURE

1.  Ensure that you meet the qualifying time for each event (where required).

Times must been swum since January 1 of the year prior to the closing date of the meet at an international, Australian Swimming, Swimming Victoria or other Association meet or at an ‘approved meet’ conducted by a Victorian district and/or Club.

2.  Ensure that all personal details are completed.

3.  Check the event against the program.

4.  Ensure that the entry time is appropriate for the event entered. For example, check that you have not shown a 400m time for a 100m event.

5.  Ensure that the columns headed “Achieved at”, “Pool Length” and “Date Achieved” are completed in full. “Achieved at” means both meet and venue.

6.  Entries must be submitted in a sealed envelope with either a cheque or correct monies.

7.  No late or facsimile entries will be accepted.

NOTE: An incorrectly completed entry care will result in the swimmer concerned either being placed in the slowest heat(s) or may lead or may lead to the entry being rejected.

It is the responsibility of the swimmer and/or their coach to ensure the entry card has been filled out correctly. Parents should help educate younger swimmers b assisting them with their entries.
