2010 BAND SEATING AUDITION INFORMATION:

Folks,

It’s that time of the year – band seating auditions. I promise to make them as painless as possible. Here is some important info you need to know for your audition:

1.  Sign-up sheets will be posted for auditions the weeks of Feb. 16th and 22nd. (Please try and sign up during a study hall first. If you can’t, then make sure it’s OK with your teachers to miss about 15 minutes of class.)

2.  All concert band members MUST come and perform a seating audition.

3.  The seating audition will constitute 25% of your 3rd marking period grade. (That means if you don’t come and play for me the highest grade you can receive in band is a 75.)

4.  The audition will consist of sections from your spring concert band music (which are outlined on the back of this page) AND the following scales from memory: C,F,B-flat, E-flat, A-flat, D-flat, G, D, A, E, B and Chromatic Scale (C to C)

It’s really not that bad……good luck, everyone!
