Translator from French, German and

Spanish into English with wide experience in all specialities

particularly legal, medical, business, commerce, technical,

certificates and all general subjects. I also carry out certified

translations including affidavits which can also be signed by

solicitor or notary public.

INTERPRETER

I work at home and abroad. My work briefly includes

interpreting in hospitals, medical practices, law courts, social

service matters, solicitors offices, all business / commercial

meetings (including international property buying, international

finance) as well as at factories for engineers. I have amixture

of general clients in all subjects and fields.

GATESHEAD SHOW – EUROPEAN ORCHESTRA

This work involved interpretingfor a europeanorchestra atthe

GatesheadShow (Saltwell Park) in April 2007 for the duration

of one week including rehearsals and preparations.

CUMMINS ENGINES- DARLINGTON

As bilingual manager my role was to spearhead and liaise with

my foreign counterparts. This involved both interpreting and

translating predominantly in German. However, I was also

involved in French and Spanish. I also organised and

oversaw all collections, prepared forecasting information,

and producedthe daily shipping plan using spreadsheets

and the company’s own software.

Mar 03 – Jun 05 BILINGUAL EUROPEAN CUSTOMER ACCOUNT

MANAGER AT TYCO THERMAL CONTROLS –

WASHINGTON (TYNE & WEAR)

At Tyco my role was to interpret as well as translate documents

from and into German, French and Spanish. I dealt with a large

and extremely busy demand all over Europe. This included

manufacturing, logistics, financial and quality issues.

The following aspects are vital to this position:

  • Completing order process from initial quotation to arrival of goods

at the customers premises.

  • Organising price lists and negotiating customer contracts including

terms of delivery and payment.

  • Requesting purchasing information of goods and informing

customer of subsequent product lead-times.

  • Resolving any technical, quality, credit or payment issues that may

occur.

  • Achieving or exceeding daily and annual targets as well as preparing

monthly and annual sales forecasts.

At Tyco I did not just benefit from working within a sales team

but also as an individual learning various processes and knowledge

of products sold other than those by myself so I can help out if a

member of staff is absent. I displayed excellent communication

skills and team playing attributes by daily liaison with all

departments inthe company.

2002-03 EUROPEAN ACCOUNT MANAGER AT 3T - DURHAM

As a European Account Manager for the distribution of heat

exchange products, my daily duties included contacting

customers in German, French and Spanish and resolving all

technical issues

2001-2002 FREELANCE TRANSLATOR / INTERPRETER

Translator and Interpreter for Northumbria Police covering

interviews and court cases. I translated European market research

for the Australian Tourist Commission at Doxford Park as well as

legal documents for County Councils and solicitors officers. I also

translated medical claims and documents.

EUROPEAN ACCOUNT MANAGER - PSI GLOBAL, Durham

August 2000 - January 2001. My duties included:

  • Daily use of language skills.
  • Liaison with all departments within the company.
  • Preparation of monthly sales figures by account.
  • Reporting on a service level (checking customer satisfaction).
  • Continually developing plans designed to take full advantage of sales.
  • Monthly targets were exceeded.
  • Undergoing 10 week Dale Carnegie Management course.

2000 CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER (EUROSIL) - DURHAM

Employed as a Bilingual Customer Services Manager at Eurosil in

Stanley (Co.Durham) my role included the responsibility of running a

very busy sales section and being able to maximise sales potential.

Contract negotiation, deliveries and administration of price lists were

also a part of this job. This post was temporary due to a member of

staff taking maternity leave
