APRIL SHOWERS

BRING MAY FLOWERS

I NEED YOUR HELP

I'm looking for Nanu Niners…a score of Nine in as many categories as possible! How about ALL OF THEM! It's time to get back to the basics in order to be there for our members!

Please score how your chapter is doing in the following areas. At a chapter meeting, discuss each of the nine questions below and let chapter members contribute to the decision of what value they would assign in each case. A positive, healthy discussion of these points may bring insight into your strengths and to where you may need to improve in order to help members TAKE OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY.

How to score: Score each question from 1 through 9

1 – is a lonely number! 6 – is Super

2 – needs to try harder. 7 – is Stupendous

3 – there's still work to be done 8 – is fantastically Great!

4 – is Fair 9 – NANU NANU….You're out of this world

Have fun and be honest.

Mork from Ork wishes you much success!

______1: Do we use TOPS programs or materials on a fairly regular basis?

______2: Do all Officers attend faithfully?

______3: Do we encourage and recruit new members?

______4. Do we honor and award members for their success?

______5. Do we have KOPS members? (Rank using # of KOPS in proportion to total

membership)

______6. Do we participate in area TOPS functions? (SRD, Fall Rally, Workshops, Health Fairs

fund raisers, etc.)

______7. Is our average loss per member 5+ pounds? (Use last year's results from your resume.

(If you had an average gain, give yourself a 1, if you had between 0 to 5 pounds,

give yourself somewhere between 2 two 8. Over 5 pounds would be a 9)

______8. Are our chapter Bylaws up to date? (Did you update them last spring and send to

Coordinator?

______9. Do we have less than 3 no meetings per year?

REMINDERS

AUDIT

This is the time of year when all chapters need to do their yearly audit.

If you changed treasurers when you elected officers, then an audit should have been completed before the new treasurer took over. But even if you have the same treasurer, an audit must be done and sent in to me as soon as possible.

The audit is done by three members of your chapter. The treasurer does not do the audit.

An audit form and instructions may be downloaded online to use or you may email me and I will email you one to use.

CHAPTER BYLAWS

Also, all chapters must revise their bylaws each year after the new officers take over. Even if you make no changes to your existing bylaws, you need to present them to your chapter, vote on whether to keep them as is or make any changes and send me a copy. Be sure to put the current date of the bylaws. All I need is one copy. I will read through them and notify you if any corrections need to be made.

Please review your bylaws with your members as soon as possible and send them to me so my files will be up to date.

To all Officers:

Below is the new membership form (L-003).

This new form has a place where a new member may order The Choice is Mine and/or The Choice is Mine Workbook at reduced prices. (Note: Only brand new members may order these books at these prices)

Your chapter should have a copy of The Choice is Mine and The Workbook to show to a new member and give them the opportunity to purchase these two books.

Please use the new membership application L-003. You can download it online or make copies of this form and use it. Be sure to send me two copies when you have a new member or when you use it for a renewal.

Remember that if a member misplaces the renewal form that is sent from Headquarters, he/she may use this form to renew.
