CINDERELLA

Tickets Left for Final Week of Panto in Guildford!

Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s traditional family panto is almost halfway through its run, but hurry and book if you haven’t seen it yet as shows are now practically sold out until the New Year!

There are literally just a handful of seats remaining for performances on the 30th December at 7.00pm and 31st December at 5.30pm as audiences are once again flocking to the theatre for this year’s festive treat – Cinderella, starring ex Blue Peter Presenter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Gethin Jones as Prince Charming (catch him on TV in the Strictly special on Christmas Day).

Following on from the great success of last year’s panto local celebrity, comedienne and impressionist Hilary O’Neil returns as Dandini. Panto would not be panto without the wonderful Royce Mills, who leaves his Dame’s wardrobe at home to play Baron Hardup. Returning to the stage for Christmas is Surrey and Hampshire’s favourite breakfast show host; Eagle Radio’s Peter Gordon will be donning a frock to play one of our ugly sisters and will be joined this year by Director and Choreographer Gerry Tebbutt as his wicked counterpart.

Taking on the role of the Fairy Godmother is Gay Soper who has had an extremely varied and exciting career. Her many West End shows include The Canterbury Tales, Godspell (with David Essex and Jeremy Irons), Billy (playing opposite Michael Crawford), Side By Side By Sondheim, The Mitford Girls, the infamous Which Witch, and Salad Days.

Other cast members include last year’s popular and multi-talented Lloyd Hollett, who charmed our audience as Wishee Washee. Lloyd plays Buttons opposite the beautiful Rebecca Brewer who is currently a third year student at the Guildford School of Acting.

The good news is – if you haven’t seen it yet there is still a chance to come along in the New Year; with bargain performances on Monday 4th January and Wednesday 6th, 7th and 8th January and a BSL signed performance on Wednesday 6th January at 7.00pm – hurry and get your seats now before they have all gone!

Sponsored by The Surrey Advertiser, Cinderella runs until Sunday 10 January 2010. Tickets are available from our Box Office on 01483 440000 or you can book online at
