Abu Dhabi Film Festival

Emirates Palace has announced their sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Culture and Heritage Authority, starting 14 to 23 of October.
Ms. Janet Abrahams, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing Department of the EmiratesPalace, said “We are pleased to co-sponsor these great cultural and artistic films which attract the most important, recent, international competition, and joins together official and senior representative directors and critics in the world of cinema.”
And confirmed that the establishment of this festival in its new session at the EmiratesPalace, reflects the commitment to embrace the most prominent artistic and cultural events that draws the worlds attention to Abu Dhabi as a touristic and a cultural destination. She also made it clear that this festival carries Abu Dhabi’s civilized message to the world, along the participation of Arab and international movie stars, in this event.
And recommended the presence of the local, Arab and international media to cover the festival, which contributes to enriching the cultural life in the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East.
Abu Dhabi Film Festival "The Middle East International Film Festival, earlier" was found in 2007 and was the first event of the EmiratesPalace, in order to help find a cinematic culture in the region.

Held by the Abu Dhabi Culture and Heritage Authority, which promises to coordinate special programs each year to attract the local community and contribute to the education and inspiration of local filmmakers and nurture the development of film industry in the Gulf and Arab region.
