4. / Write about your favorite part of the book and tell why that it is your favorite.
Introductions
1. / Bring in an umbrella. Ask the student what it is used for? Say, today we are going to look at a story involving an umbrella and a great adventure. Let's see what happens.
2. / Bring in a bag with an umbrella, rain boots, and a raincoat (real or pictures). Ask the child what they would do with these items? Say, would you consider it an adventure? Tell them that today we are going to read about a boy who uses these things in his daydream adventure.
3. / Play a tape of rain. Ask the child to close their eyes and imagine what they would do if they could play in the rain. Say, we are going to look at a book today about the rain and an adventure a boy has in the book.
