Entrepreneur of the Year Award Program - The NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award
Eligibility:
- A graduating high school senior who is entering his or her freshman year at an accredited 2-or 4-year university, college, or vocational institute in the fall of 2013;
- must have officially established business is a requirement; demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and initiative through starting his/her own business; and participating in organizations such as DECA, Junior Achievement, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA),Future Farmers of America (FFA), National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), among others; or through other initiatives;
- They encourage students to mention any endeavors or work experiences offered as community service, for example: babysitting, lawn care, dogwalking, tutoring, etc.;
- must meet or exceed recommended academic standards, using standardized test scores (ACT/SAT), class rank andGPA as indicators provided in high school records/transcripts;
- Are selected by an independent scholarship organization & are merit-based, not based on financial need.

Dell Scholars Program
Eligibility:
- Participating in a Michael & Susan Dell Foundation approved college readiness program for a minimum of two of the last three years (Dual Credit, AP Classes, Upward Bound, etc..)
- Graduating from an accredited high school this academic year
- Earning a minimum of a 2.4 GPA
- Demonstrated need for financial assistance
- Planning to enter a bachelor's degree program at an accredited higher education institution in the fall directly after your graduation from high school
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency

Powdermaker Family Foundation Scholarship
Eligibility: graduating seniorin Dallas County High Schools with a GPA of 3.0; community, school, and extracurricular activities; leadership potential; financial need; and a citizen or documented permanent resident, plan to attend full-time at an approved college or vocational school.
