At Elliott, all children can and will learn . . . No Excuses!

August 2017

Dear Elliott Parents and Community,

As principal of Sally B. Elliott Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year in Irving ISD. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. At Elliott, we have great teachers who spend hours planning collaboratively and creating lessons that are focused on student learning. We believe that all can learn and we are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure all students learn at high levels.

As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to communicate and work together to ensure that our children reach their potential. With that in mind, we hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. A monthly newsletter and calendar will be sent out the first Thursday of every month in the “Thursday folder” and it will be available on our website. Additionally, we have a Twitter account (@elliotteagles) and a Facebook page (Sally B. Elliott Elementary) that we will use to send out updates and quick announcements as we go through the school year.

Communication is the key to our continued success. My door is always open. I am here to serve our students, parents, and community, to listen and creatively problem solve with you. Keeping the best interest of every child at the forefront of our decision making will result in a successful outcome. In advance, I want to thank you for your support and cooperation for the upcoming school year and we welcome your involvement at every school event.

Sincerely,

Sheila Peragine

Principal
