Job Description
Post Title: / Primary Academy Office manager
Reporting To: / Head of School
Responsible For: / Act as PA to the Executive Head and Head of School.
Manage the administration team to oversee all administrativefunctions at the Primary Academy and Kindergarten.
Liaising With: / All staff, pupils, parents and external agents.
Contract Type: / Full time , permanent
Scale / Academies’ Range 7
Hours / 37 ½ hours per week between 08:15 – 16.00, Monday to Friday
Term time only plus two additional weeks
Main Purpose /
  • To carry out specific administrative duties as directed by the Business Coordinator, Executive Principal and Head of school.

Main/Core Duties

  • To manage the Primary transitions process.

Clerical and other duties /
  • To carry out administrative tasks as directed by Business Coordinator, Executive Principal and Head of school.
  • Order, store and distribute assessment materials as required.
  • To manage the administration budget
  • To ensure a comprehensive induction programme takes place for new starters.
  • To manage the school diary.
  • To produce Trustees Reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To manage SIMS and work with Senior Data Manager on end of year transition data and census.
  • To carry out any other reasonable request from the Academy’s leadership team.

Other Specific Duties /
  • To continue personal development as agreed at appraisal.
  • To engage actively in the performance review process.
  • To address the appraisal targets set by the line manager each Autumn Term.
  • To comply with the Academy’s Health and Safety policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate.
  • To show a record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • To adhere to the Academy’s dress code.
  • To sit on the schools H& S Committee, working with ACORS colleagues from the senior Academy.
  • To sit on the schools Safeguarding Committee and ensure accurate minutes are recorded from all meetings.
  • First Aid at Work first aider
