CURRENT CONTRACTS FOR PPL INC.
This has been an active year for PPL, Inc. as we proceed with service to the community colleges through our full-service consulting company. Our active contracts for the 2017 -2018 fiscal year include the following projects:
EXECUTIVE SEARCHES
· Ventura County Community College District – Chancellor – Benjamin T. Duran, and Donald F. Averill facilitated this search for the Board of Trustees. The position search resulted in the appointment of Greg Gillespie who started July 1, 2017.
· Long Beach CCD – Director of Region 6 Small Business Development Center – Donald F. Averill is facilitating the district in the search for the Director of Region 6 Small Business Development Center. The position was filled in February 2017
· South Orange County Community College District --_Chancellor – Dean C. Colli and Guy F. Lease are facilitating the search for the Chancellor of the District. The first search did not result in a placement and the search is now under the facilitation of Diane Clerou representing PPL.
· Saddleback College President – Lisa Sugimoto and Guy F. Lease are facilitated the search for a President. The search resulted in the placement of Greggory Anderson starting July 1, 2018
· Siskiyou Joint Community College District – Superintendent President – Jim Riggs and Dean Colli facilitated this search. The search process resulted in the placement of Stephen Schoonmaker starting on July 1, 2017.
· Sacramento City College – President – Robert Griffin is facilitating in the recruitment of candidates. The position was filled by Michael Gutierrez starting on July 1, 2017
· Kern Community College District – Vice Chancellors of Human Resources and Educational Services – Don Averill facilitated the two searches with the assistance of Sherrie Guerrero and this resulted in the placement of John Means as the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Tonya Davis as the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources
· Contra Costa CCD – Diablo Valley College President – Robert Griffin and Jose Ortiz facilitated this search resulting in the placement of Susan Lamb starting in January 2018.
· Los Angeles CCD – Los Angeles Southwest College President – Ben Duran and Lisa Sugimoto are facilitating the search which is still in progress.
INTERIM PLACEMENTS
· Special Trustee – San Francisco CCD – Guy served as the Special Trustee to the San Francisco Community College District. The placement ended July 1, 2017.
· Mt. San Jacinto Community College District – Don Averill is assisting in finding an interim Vice- President of Student Services to begin in January 2017 and resulted in the candidate taking the permanent position.
· Vice President Academic Affairs Lassen CCD – Larry Buckley is serving a long-term assignment as Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs at Lassen CCD. Will probably go through June 0f 2018
· Ohlone CCD Vice President Student Services – Duncan Graham is serving as the Interim Vice President of Student services with a contract extending into June of 2018
· Coast CCD – Goldenwest College – Mary Vance is serving in an interim assignment at Goldenwest College in Student services through June of 2018
· Coast CCD- Coastline College - Raul Rodriguez will be serving as an interim Student Services person at Coastline through June 2018
· San Francisco CCD – Interim Vice Chancellor Administrative Services – George Kozitza is in negotiations to cover this assignment.
CONSULTANT CONTRACTS
· Chaffey CCD – Academic Affairs and Administrative Services Consulting – Don Berz and James Buysse are providing consulting in academic affairs and administrative services through June 2017.
· Southwestern CCD – Accreditation and Student Services Consulting John Mullin is provided consulting services for student services. John continues to work on the student information system for the college.
· Solano CCD – John Mullin is working on the student information system for Student Services at the college through June 2016.
· Gavilan CCD – Bob Barr provided academic affairs consulting for Gavilan College.
· Riverside CCD – Facilities Management Consulting – Laurens Thurman has been providing consulting services in facilities to the district for the past four years.
· Citrus Community College District – Don Berz is providing consulting on Enrollment management and staff development for the college through June 2017
· Desert CCD Consultant in Academic Affairs – Don Berz is returning to Desert CCD to provide consulting services in academic affairs.
