Volunteer for the Type 1 Junior Diabetes Research Foundation

DearMike,

Thank you so much for volunteering for the JDRF One Walk! Your participation helps fund life-changing research that will create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Everyone's gifts will help advance new therapies to change the lives of millions of people challenged by this disease every single day.
Your generosity means a lot to me—and to everyone living with T1D.

Sincerely,
Matt Lanza

  • This walk was volunteer work for my fraternity. We had to wake up early in the morning to drive to Camden for the JDRF walk. We set up the event prior to the walk and broke down all the equipment after. Along with that, we stayed at the race, cheered on walkers, gave out waters and snacks, and helped the course directors hold signs. Overall, being at the walk showed great responsibility, kindness, and respectfulness.

  • This certification was an assignment outside of class. I met up twice a week for multiple weeks to receive my certification in blood pressure screening. This certification has already helped me throughout my semester. I have already had to use this information I learned while in my Exercise Physiology Lab course. Knowing the information not only made it easier to work on that lab, but to teach other classmates as well. Below is an email confirmation from Dr. Spencer that I completed the certification.
