In the recent Diocesan appointments, Fr. O’Neill’s presence here in Kilgarvan will conclude, as he takes a sabbatical. His role in the parish will be taken by Fr. Michael Moynihan, PP of Glengarriff, who will oversee the construction of our Parish Centre.

Message from Fr. Donal: My time as priest in Kilgarvan has come to an end. May I thank sincerely all of you that I have met and worked with here in the past three and a half years. I have very much enjoyed my ministry here with you, meeting people of all ages and backgrounds and sharing special moments in peoples lives. I was also taking up other roles in the Diocese which meant I was away somewhat, but all were very understanding and supportive. Thank you all. Fr. Donal.

Meal for Visiting Clergy on Holidays: As is usual, the Bishop would like to invite priests who are home for vacation to gather for a meal on Tuesday, August 4th at 6.30pm at the Parish Centre, the Church of the Resurrection, Park Road, Killarney. Kilgarvan Cemetery Mass: The annual cemetery mass will be held on Wednesday 22nd July at 7.30pm (weather permitting).

The LATIN MASS (1962 Missal) will be offered in Holy Cross Dominican Church, Tralee on Sun 5th July and Sun 26th July at 1.30pm. See:

Prayer: People are welcome to join our prayer group that meet every Tuesday evening. You are also welcome to join our Eucharistic adoration which takes place every Friday from 9am to 9pm and our rosary before daily mass.

Kilgarvan Tidy Towns weekly clean up and work in the village takes place on Wednesday nights, meeting at the church at 7.30pm. All are very welcome to come along and help and give some time to the village as we prepare for the summer.

History Outing to Clara, Drishane, Kilmeady Castle and Up Ballydaly led by Fr Seán Daly and Seán Radley, will take place on Sunday, 12th July. Meet at Carnegie Hall, Millstreet 2.30pm. All are welcome.

St Columban Pilgrim Walk in Killarney: To celebrate the 1,400th anniversary of the death of St Columban, the Columbans are organising a Pilgrim Walk in Killarney from Aghadoe via Botharín na Marbh to St Columbanus's Home. The walk will include visits to sites of spiritual significance and will take approx 4 hours. It will be led by Columban missionary Fr Michael Howe. Assemble at Aghadoe at 9.30am on Saturday 18th July.
