AMT PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE MUSIC AND MAGIC
OF LAS VEGAS IN ALL NEW SUMMER SHOW
Lancaster, PA – (April 12, 2017) American Music Theatre is bringing the Vegas vibe to South Central PA! Opening Tuesday, April 25, AMT’s all-new Original Show, Vegas Legends, will showcase the music, magic, and excitement of the “Entertainment Capital of the World.”
“Rehearsals for Vegas Legends are in full swing, and I couldn’t be more excited,” said Andrea McCormick, AMT’s Artistic Director and show creator. “We are thrilled to feature the hits of famed Las Vegas entertainers, past and present, and to create some never-before-seen magical moments on the AMT stage.”
The show will take guests on a musical journey through the history of the Las Vegas Strip and the landmark hotels that became one with the iconic singers and musicians they housed through the years. Some of the notable songs included in Vegas Legends will be “Luck Be a Lady,” “Danke Schoen,” “Suspicious Minds,” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “My Heart Will Go On,” and of course, “Viva Las Vegas.”
AMT will be adding a fresh new element to this year’s show with the inclusion of Peter Gossamer, the star of Gossamer Magic, along with his wife/assistant, Carol Maccri Gossamer. Peter is world renown for his electrifying performance of magic, dance, and theater and is considered a pioneer in magic because of his original concepts and fresh approach to the art of illusion.
Filled with seasoned AMT vets and some fresh new faces making their AMT debut, Vegas Legends boasts a talented cast of Singers and Dancers including Ashlee Byers, Britnee Byers, Cassidy Colmary, Wess Cooke, Patrick Detloff, Ricky Howsare, Isaac Hunnicutt, Randy Jeter, Chris Kane, Julie Keough, Annie Leigh, Kalie Martin, and Sydney Raffellini. Music Director/Conductor Andy Roberts once again leads the world class AMT Orchestra made up of Jaren Angud, Michael Evangelista, Garrett Faccone, Mark Huber, Mike Lambertson, John Lemke, Andy Mowatt, Dave Shultz, and Aaron Trasatt.
Vegas Legends is on stage April 25 through October 7. Tickets are $32 for adults, $27 for AMT Members, and $16 for children (ages 3-17.)
