A $70 cancellation fee, which includes the cost of the book, will be charged for any cancellations. To request a refund before September 10, 2004, send an email to . No refunds will be issued after Monday, September 13, 2004.

IC3 - What is it?

IC3, or the Internet and Computing Core Certification program, is a global training and certification program providing proof of proficiency in core computing skills.

Three exams are offered:

IC3 - Computing Fundamentals

·  Understanding computer hardware

·  Understanding computer software

·  Understanding how to use computer operating systems

IC3 – Key Applications

·  Common features of Windows applications

·  Features needed to operate word processors

·  Specific features needed to operate spreadsheet programs

IC3 – Living Online

·  How computers connect to networks and the Internet

·  Electronic mail and electronic mail software

·  Online resources

·  Web browser programs

·  The impact of computing and the Internet on society

Textbook:

The textbook will be sent to participants prior to the workshop in order to allow time to review the materials before the workshop.
