The ASU Foundationis pleased to announce the availability of the Ansari Scholarship for the 2013-2014academic year. The scholarship was established to provide scholarship support to deserving students who are Iranian-American students – U.S. Citizens with Persian heritage or heritage of the country of Iran.

Scholarship Award Amount:$2000

Scholarships Awarded Per Year:Three

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must:

Full-time undergraduate student, with first preference given to Junior or Senior status
Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Demonstrate leadership in community service and co-curricular activities
Demonstrate financial need

Application Procedure (please submit in this order):

Complete the Ansari application (2 pages).
Attach a typewritten statement (1-2 pages, double spaced) describing:

• Personal and family background.

• Education and career goals.

• How this scholarship will assist in achieving your education and career goals.

A resume that includes dates of leadership, community service and co-curricular activities.
A copy of your college transcripts which include grades from your most recently completed semester (unofficial copies are acceptable).
A letter of recommendation from someone who can address your academic achievement, leadership experience and personal character. (Please include the letter in a sealed envelope with your application.)
