  1. Introduction of Staff Members in attendance
  2. Mark Webber – Executive Director
  3. Lisa Macdonald – USYS Admin Director
  4. Winter Indoor Training
  5. Complete schedule for remainder of indoor training is online. If you see issues, please contact club by submitting a support ticket.
  6. Staff is beginning to work on spring schedule.
  7. Friday Night Futsal at JBF
  8. Second session starts Jan 20 for 7 games. Will be 8u-14u (plus now a newly added HS division) Cost is a discounted $600 for IFJ teams.
  9. Issue from manager brought up – JBF charging $2 admission is a bit frustrating. If that will still be the case let teams know before first game. Discussion that teams might take not having a discount or as much as one and not being charged admission fee. Mark Webber will speak to the contacts at the facility.
  10. Fire & Ice – February 4, 2017 – 502 East Event Centre in Carmel
  11. Baskets from teams are coming in and look great!
  12. Please get the word out on the event as all proceeds go to the scholarship fund. Last year’s event was great fun for all.
  13. The evening’s guest speaker is still TBD but we will be recognizing all college bound playing seniors
  14. Phil Sever provided flyers of the event information. Any questions please contact Phil, Cass or Robin Speas (contact information online)
  15. 2017 Europe Tour
  16. There will be one more meeting regarding the trip – email will be sent to all senior team members.
  17. Travel dates – June 30 – July 9
  18. Interested families should contact Mark Webber at as the first deposit will be due Feb 1
  19. Miscellaneous info
  20. Please ask parents to try and keep their own records of volunteer hours. We do keep them but are inundated with requests to know how much time people have accumulated each time we send a new sign up genius.
  21. Payments – Leagues, State cup games and IFJ or other Fire affiliate tournaments have already been registered for by the Club have been paid. Teams are expected to submit a check for payment back to the Club once invoice is received from Business Director, Christina Hord.
  22. League meetings are coming up – info has already been communicated. Please reach out to your coaches to check on their attendance (11u-12u coaches should be attending and 13u+ managers are being asked to attend). Please make sure to get your blackout dates into the GOT calendar now so that the preliminary schedule ISL puts together has less chance of needing adjustments.
  23. Spring Player passing – your coach should know if he/she are in need of guest players for games/tournaments. The coach will work with the age group DOC to make arrangements. For ISL league teams you should only need to verify that you see the guest player on the game card 24 hours in advance (if not then contact someone) if players show then simply provide virtual player cards to ref (instructions on website). 8u-10u teams typically just write names in. MRL teams this does not apply to you. For tournaments, you will need the physical player card.
  24. Communication – to team/to league/to IFJ
  25. GOT Support Tickets (instructions on how to submit a support ticket are located on our website)
  26. Submitting a support ticket means that you will most likely received a quicker response as several staff members monitor this area. It also allows for better tracking of issues.
  27. Again, in communication ALWAYS include your name and team information
  28. Q & A
  29. Teams playing at Dynamo MVP will receive a voucher code. Since SBD runs this tournament we’ll send one check to pay for teams and bill back IFJ teams.
  30. With upcoming ISL league scheduling meetings, Lisa will look into any off-limit dates for Spring and communicate those back to managers. Spring is a very busy time at Grand Park with quite a few weekends with major events that don’t leave space for ISL home games.
  31. Some age groups may have some roster moves coming in the next few weeks. You will be contacted if your team has a roster move and instructed on what to do as the manager.
  32. Functional movement testing – if a player cannot attend the specified date for their team what can be done. – attending during another team’s time is possible but most likely Nate will communicate a make-up date soon. If you have an issue, contact BJ or Mark Webber
  33. Louisville Cup – some managers have already registered and paid – that is fine. The club is sending multiple teams which should get us a $35 discount per team.
  34. Kudos to Josh Lindemann on the winter training schedule – managers/parents pleased that in most cases teams kept the same days/times for practices.
  35. Manager would like DOCs to know that the back to back tournaments for the senior teams at the start of the season/right after high school were difficult to deal with – especially teams that were still adding players.
  36. Rec town hall coming soon.
  37. Details coming in a couple of weeks as we plan to have team pictures taken during winter training indoors (since we had weather issues the past couple of years). We’re hoping to also try and get a full Club picture one night as well – knowing that we won’t be able to get 100% attendance but would like to try.
