1 Corinthians 5:1-13

1.  Read 1 Corinthians 5:1-13.

2. What is the proper balance between grace towards another believer and the toleration of habitual sin in their life?

3. Read verses 1-2a. How did the Corinthian church handle this particular sin issue in the church? What made this sin particularly disturbing? Did they exercise a proper response to the sinning member? What is the proper response?

4. Read verse 2b. What steps must be taken in dealing with another believer's sin? Give Scripture to back up your answer.

5. Read verse 3. What does Paul mean by have already judged him? Are we ever supposed to judge others as believers?

6. Read verses 4-5. What does it mean to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh? How does the church follow through on this?
